Carso and FCC win the first contract together, Samalayuca – Sasabe pipeline
The pipeline, to be built by the consortium formed by FCC Industrial-Carso and has a length of 630 km, a pipe diameter of 36 inches. Through the states of Chihuahua and Sonora, thereby supplying the power stations in northern and northeastern Mexico. It will connect to Sásabe – Guaymas pipeline and San Isidro – Samalayuca pipeline. It’s expected to be operational in late 2017. The pipeline construction budget, by the Carso-FCC Industrial consortium amounts to 225 million euros.
The pipeline will have a capacity to transport 472 million cubic feet of gas, making it possible to supply the nearby towns, which have a population density of 12 inhabitants per square kilometer.
With this award, FCC Industrial reinforces its position as a provider of solutions in oil & gas works, while reaffirming its leadership with leading customers in the gas sector. This award is the first work of internationally pipeline, executed by FCC Industrial.
