In the Ame - ricas, it grew significantly to 434.2 million euros, 107.1% more, largely supported by the greater contribution of the Tren Maya project in Mexico, together with the sustained progress of works such as the Guillermo Gavi- ria tunnel - one of the longest tunnels in Latin America - in Colombia, lines 2 and 4 of the Lima metro in Peru and the start of the RER-3 in Toronto (Canada). Projects in the Middle East led to an increase in revenues of 7.6% to 156.7 million euros. Of particular note was the Riyadh metro project, whose completion has been exten - ded to April 2024. The consortium in which FCC Cons- trucción participates was awarded the contract for the design, construc- tion, operation and maintenance of a commuter rail network in the me- tropolitan area of the city of Toronto (Canada).
