BREEAM is the most technically advanced method for assessing and certifying sustai- nability in building construction and the world leader in terms of the number of projects cer- tified since its creation in 1990. Although it is a British non-profit organisation founded in 1921, since 2010, BREEAM has been fully adapted to the language, regula- tions and construction practice in Spain.
