ty; we promote and carry out studies and surveys, such as the InnoDiversi- ty Index; although we also meet with organizations with which we try to network and exchange best practices and we are currently coordinating the European Diversity Month campaign in Spain. Diversity in the Company: Are companies really aware of the need and convenience of having diverse workforces? The world of work is changing, and so is the workforce. There are social issues that demand more attention, such as human rights. A commitment to diversity in order to generate an in- clusive and fairer work environment is undoubtedly an imperative for the sustainability and development of any company. D&I brings value to companies, their businesses, customers and staff. It is not merely a matter of image and reputation; truly, companies that are committed to diversity and inclusion are more competitive, innovative and their workforces are more committed to their business objectives. There are more and more companies in Spain that understand this and have deployed programs and initiatives to generate an inclusive culture where all people can fully develop and con- tribute their talent. Equality and Diversity. Personal and work conciliation, promotion without bias, female talent, are very present in the current situa- tion of companies. How does the Foundation for Diversity work in relation to these matters? Our recent InnoDiversity study, conducted with IE Foundation, yiel- ded interesting results in relation to the management of female talent in companies. Eighty-seven percent of the participating companies indi- cated that they have initiatives and programs in place to promote equal opportunities for women, and 67% also indicated that they are measu- ring these initiatives to know their real impact. FCC has once again renewed its commit- ment to the Diversity Charter for the period 2021-2023, for the recognition of equality policies, its commitment to being an in- creasingly diverse and socially responsible company, carrying out actions and projects to promote inclusion and equality through employment. Currently, more than 1,250 companies have signed the charter and ra- tified what it promotes. FCC renews its commitment to the Diversity Charter Undoubtedly, the obligation to imple- ment an equality plan has been an important impetus to advance in this Agenda. However, we still have a lot of work ahead of us to really achieve that women have access to manage- rial positions without having to sacri- fice their personal and family life. From my point of view, more effort needs to be made to drive change through specialized training on un- conscious bias, equal opportunities, D&I in general, inclusive leadership and violence against women. On the other hand, we must promote safe spaces where staff can express themselves freely and contribute, wi- thout fear of dismissal or rejection. Lastly, we must promote communi- cation and language that is egalita- rian and free of stereotypes. 9
