For years, El Porcal has been an example of en- vironmental restoration. In order to preserve the wetland ecosystem, a general sustainable deve- lopment and restoration plan was implemented to respect the flora, fauna and the rest of the environ - ment. The restoration system adopted by the mining ope- ration meets the following objectives: ■ Decrease the visual impact of the extractive ac- tions to achieve their integration into the lands- cape. ■ To favor the natural colonization of autochtho- nous fauna and flora species. ■ To protect the surrounding natural space. ■ To maintain a balance between anthropic deve- lopment and the environment.
